Cadet Advisory Council

Long Island Group Cadet Advisory Council (LIGCAC) is a group of experienced cadets selected by their squadrons that advise the Group Commander on how to improve the Cadet Program. The Cadet Advisory Council program has 3 main goals; to develop leadership, to assist commanders, and to improve the cadet program. Each squadron in LIG selects one cadet to represent its members at LIGCAC who works on specialized committees and votes on issues.

Meetings

LIGCAC meetings occur on the first Thursday of every month, at LIG headquarters: 1600 Lincoln Ave, Holbrook, NY. These meetings are held in conjunction with the monthly commanders call at 7:30PM. All meetings are in dress blues. If you are interested in coming to a meeting, contact the representative from your squadron, or by emailing chair.cac@lig.nywg.cap.gov.
