911 - Never Forget

On September 12, 2001 the Long Island Group was called upon to perform the first CAP non-peace time mission sortie since World War II. At the time this flight had permission to depart, it was the only non-military aircraft allowed to fly anywhere in the United States. The objective was to take pictures for FEMA, SEMO and the NY State Governor's Office.
